Cats are the most popular cat breeds in Japan. You can even find some cafes that offer several treatments for your cats. Also, the pet insurance company in Japan, Anicom, conducted a survey to find out the 10 most popular cat breeds in Japan. This survey was conducted on 10,000 Anicom respondents.
1. Japanese Bobtail
Japanese Bobtail cat is a domestic cat breed that has more like a rabbit tail than other cats. Their origin of Japan and southeast Asia now can be found all over the world.
2. Persia Cat
Persia is a cat breed with a long-haired cat characterized by a round face and a snub nose. Recognized as a luxury cat since the 19th century, Persia cat breed was first developed in England and was bred by American cat lovers after the Second World War.
